Diesel Metamorph Experience – A Hybrid Metaverse Journey for VERT

A global, real-time campaign merging immersive storytelling with retail innovation for the launch of Diesel’s VERT watch.

As part of the Diesel Metamorph Experience, we helped shape a bold new kind of campaign—one that spanned across a multiplayer metaverse environment and interactive retail installations worldwide. Crafted entirely in Unreal Engine 5, the project invited players to explore Tempus, a visually rich world where time had stopped. Online users collaborated in real-time with players inside Diesel stores in cities like Paris, New York, and Tokyo.

As a developer, I contributed to core gameplay features, player interactions, and the technical systems enabling multiplayer functionality and Pixel Streaming. My role also supported the integration of gesture-based mini-games, where in-store visitors could affect the virtual world through real-time body tracking, creating bridges and unlocking progression in the metaverse.

The experience culminated in a cinematic unveiling of the VERT watch, followed by a virtual concert by Lil Dre, rendered from depth camera performance data and visualized in stylized 3D. Early watch buyers received evolving NFTs that morphed into playable avatars, connecting the physical product to a persistent online world.
