Projection Riot

MASZ_IN was invited to create a real-time projection mapping experience on the streets of Gdynia, Poland, as part of the Transvisualia Festival.

For the setup, we used a pickup truck equipped with a power generator, projector, and speakers.

The animations and games, built in Unity3D, responded dynamically to the vehicle’s speed and movement.

We projected a rebellious take on Space Invaders onto building facades, or blasted them apart with a giant digital cannon.

As we cruised through the city, we also ran versions of Mario and Pac-Man. Each one reacting in real time to the car’s acceleration and speed.
